Alnourah Pillars

This work inspires the remaining columns in At-Turaif District to recognize the pivotal role of women, and the complementarity and interrelationship between them and everything related to our civilization today. Column in construction, as an integral part of any great building, is not suitable for carrying the load when it is just sufficiently sold to carry it, but it also must carry it without stress. This is exactly their pivotal and honorable role throughout our history. Seven columns stand tall in homage to the women of our country, represented by different names from our great history. This work mainly uses Calcium hydroxide ( ALNOURAH), whose strength is a one of its most prominent features, as it supports the stone and strengthen over time until it is itself become a durable stone. Since ancient times in the history of the Arabian Peninsula, lime mortar has been used as a material for preservation and durability. Through eco-friendly materials and rammed earth technology, sand accumulates from every spot these women stepped across the country to reflect the long accumulations our land witnessed, and our strong bond with each other.
